King Kamehameha

I was studying the brutal annexation of Hawaii just now and noticed the odd names of all the Hawaiian kings and what not. I've never really seen that many vowels strung together in one word and I'm never sure how to read them either. The last king was named

David La'amea Kamanakapu'u Mahinulani Nalaiaehuokalani Lumialani Kal'kaua

I actually read that whole thing, I suggest you do, it's fucking hard.

Like trying to wrap your tongue around a gerbil overdosing on speed.

That was the journal's simile.

Anyways, one of the names reminded me of the kamehameha from my childhood spent watching dragon ball. Upon looking the word up on wikipedia I was presented with a delicious finding.

That was the name of their first king. Maybe that's where the guys behind Dragon Ball got their idea?

Quick! We need something for this kid to yell while he gathers chi! I know! Ask a Hawaiian!
